Luke Express offers full-service refueling to drivers with disabilities

The Luke Air Force Base Express fuel station is making it easier for motorists with disabilities to fuel up.

The recently installed FuelCall wireless alert system allows disabled drivers to contact associates inside the store for assistance without leaving their vehicle. Any motorist with a disability license plate or placard may have their gas pumped by an Express employee.

“We want to be as accommodating as possible to our customers,” said Pete Alaniz, Luke AFB Exchange general manager. “FuelCall is a dignified way to request assistance at the pump, making it faster and easier for our disabled customers to receive the level of service they have come to expect at the Express without ever having to leave their vehicle.”

FuelCall is available 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. The Express has unattended fueling 24 hours a day.
