Hawaii

As part of a morale tour sponsored by the American 300 Warrior Support Organization, U.S. Olympian and Sochi Olympics bronze medal winner Alex Deibold toured the 15th Wing and visited with Airmen at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

Romania

A week-long bilateral training exercise between the U.S. and the Romanian air force concluded at the 71st Air Base, Campia Turzii. The exercise enhanced interoperability and readiness between the NATO partners through combined air operations between F-16 Fighting Falcons from Aviano Air Base, Italy, and MiG-21 Lancers from the 71st AB.

Afghanistan

More than 600 runners participated to race 26.2 miles in the Boston Marathon Shadow Run held on Bagram Airfield.

Afghanistan

Four Airmen from the 455th Metal Fabrication shop from Bagram Airfield earned the Army Achievement medal for their outstanding work in fabricating parts for Army helicopters. The Airmen were able to manufacture parts on short notice, allowing the helicopters to quickly return to service.
