Commander’s comments: “Airman Simpson is a dedicated scheduler,” said Maj. Melinda Santos-Hughes, 56th Maintenance Group maintenance operations officer. “She was hand-selected to work as the F-35 Lightning II maintenance scheduler and work through the challenges of a new mission design series. She has taken time to learn autonomic logistics information system and how to extract what is required to get her job accomplished. The 61st AMU’s leadership praises her work. Not only is she standing up a new program, but we continue to reach back and ask her to help with the 309th AMU, which she does with ease. She is truly a team player.”
