Maj. Scott Smith, 56th Comptroller Squadron commander, gets dowsed in water while going through the obstacle course April 26 at the 56th Fighter Wing 2014 Combat Dining-In at Luke Air Force Base. Smith volunteered to go through the obstacle course to represent fighter wing staff agencies. The event serves as an occasion for Airmen to meet socially at an informal military function. The event enhanced esprit de corps among the units, lightened the load of demanding day-to-day work, gave the commander an opportunity to meet socially with subordinates, and enabled military members of all ranks to create bonds of friendship and better working relations.
