Change of command

Lt. Col. Gerald Brown will relinquish command of the 69th Fighter Squadron to Lt. Col. Korey Amundson at 9 a.m. today in Hangar 999.

Library subscription refunds

Offices that receive subscriptions or items through the Luke Air Force Base Library and request a cancellation must return any refund checks received to the library. Offices are not allowed to cash the checks. For more information, call Pam Lum at 623-856-3893.

MPS office closed

The 56th Force Support Squadron Military Personnel Section office will close at 11 a.m. May 9 for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response training day. For more information, call 2nd Lt. William Werner at 623-856-7870.

Comprehensive Airman Fitness training

Comprehensive Airman Fitness Training is a three-day course for Airmen or Defense Department employees who will endorse this training and the resiliency program. Resilience training assistants are an integral element to provide awareness education and skill development techniques for Airmen and their families while enhancing individual resilience across the four domains of CAF: mental, physical, social, and spiritual. Child care providers

Applications are being accepted for those interested in becoming Family Child Care Program providers. A license is required and complete training is provided at no charge. Active-duty or retired military spouses living on base or within a 10-mile radius of the base can become licensed providers through the FCC Program and provide child care for 10 or more hours per week on a regular basis. Supplies are provided at no cost. Providers for special-needs children and care for nontraditional shifts are needed also. For more information, call Alexis Holsey at 623-856-7470.

Give parents a break

The 56th Force Support Squadron Child Development Center and the Youth Center are offering free childcare in a safe, age-appropriate learning environment 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 14. The reservation deadline is June 5. The service is for active-duty Air Force families who are experiencing stress due to a temporary duty assignment, deployment or unique hardships associated with military life to take a break. Lunch and a snack are included. For children from infant to age 5, call (623) 856-6338. For children ages 6 to 12, call (623) 856-7471.

Airman’s Attic

The Airman’s Attic supports active-duty service members from all branches in the ranks of E-5 and below. The facility is run by volunteers and stocks items military members want to pass on to other military members. Donations will be accepted during regular hours of operation, which are 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the first and third Saturday of the month. It is located in Bldg. 750. Tax vouchers are available. Donations should be serviceable and clean, new or slightly used. Popular items include indoor and outdoor furniture pieces, small kitchen appliances, electronics, clothing for the family, shoes, linens, toys, baby accessories, bicycles and sports equipment. Airman’s Attic volunteers

The Airman’s Attic is looking for volunteers 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Thursday and the first and third Saturday of the month. For more information, call Staff Sgt. Breeann Frost at 623-856-7538.

EFMP-M clinic new hours

The Exceptional Family Member Program Medical clinic new hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walk-in hours are 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday. The EFMP-M office is on the 3rd floor of the 56th Medical Group building. Self-employment workshop

A two-day transition program self-employment intensive training workshop to help participants determine if a business idea is feasible and if starting a business is a good decision is May 8 and 9 in the Airman and Family Readiness Center. For more information, call James Knuckles at 623-856-6273.

Days of Remembrance

The 2014 Days of Remembrance of the Holocaust Victims is today at Club Five Six. A Holocaust exhibit of masks of holocaust survivors and paintings of holocaust events is
