Chaplain’s Thoughts

Stevie Wonder

“Mama was my greatest teacher: a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness.”

~ Stevie Wonder

Friendly reminder … Mother’s Day is in two days.

What are the greatest lessons in life your mother taught you? What are those life-defining moments when you realize what mom was telling you all along was right? You may not have even realized this until you become a parent yourself. Families are far from perfect, and that does include moms. However, when a woman becomes “mama,” she becomes the greatest teacher you will ever have on earth. And probably the biggest lesson we had to learn from her was to love and how to be loved. This is even seen in the Scriptures from 2 Corinthians 13:13 which states, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Blessings from Above …

To do or to be? – A very good question
