Dollars and Sense

Beginning June 1, deployed Airmen will see the discontinuation of imminent danger pay in the following locations:

• Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia and Montenegro

• East Timor, Haiti, Liberia, Oman, Rwanda, Tajikistan and United Arab Emirates

• Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan

• The Persian Gulf and air space above

In addition, personnel will no longer be eligible for the Combat Zone Tax Exclusion in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Airmen deployed to the impacted locations cannot be grandfathered into the previous pay entitlements.
