56th Fighter Wing Legal Office

The following is a list of administrative actions issued at Luke Air Force Base in April:

Articles 15

56th Operations Group

• An airman first class received an Article 15 for underage drinking. The member received a suspended reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $858 pay per month for two months, 45 days restriction, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

56th Maintenance Group

• An airman received an Article 15 for damaging government property valued at more than $500. The member received forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, 14 days restriction and a reprimand.

• An airman received an Article 15 for wrongful use of marijuana and dextroamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. The member received a reduction in rank to airman basic, suspended forfeiture of $382 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for drunken driving. The member received a reduction to the rank of airman and a reprimand.

• A senior airman received an Article 15 for wrongful use of marijuana. The member received a reduction in rank to airman first class, suspended forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months and a reprimand.

Article 15 punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition, and suitability for continued service. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke community, the legal office reviews all cases.
