Partial road closures

Road construction will partially close 141st Avenue between Marauder and Eagle streets through June 13; 139th Avenue between the substation and past Dorm 586, and Bong Lane between Mitchell and Falcon streets Monday through June 20; and 137th Avenue between Thunderbird and the Airman Family Readiness Center Monday through June 27. Operation Wedding Gown

Brides Across America is offering free wedding gowns to military brides during their annual nationwide event in July. To qualify, brides or their fiancés must be serving in the military and either be currently deployed, have a future deployment, or have been deployed within the last five years to Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle East, Korea, or Japan. Pet travel advisory

Airmen who are about to change stations and have a pet or pets moving with them should contact the travel management office for assistance in booking a pet reservation as soon as possible upon receiving PCS notification. All pet allocations are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Travelers must move their pets commercially at their own expense if allocations are filled. Only cats and dogs are allowed to travel via the Patriot Express. For more information, call TMO passenger travel at 623-856-7035.

Home buying seminar

The Housing Management Office and Airmen and Family Readiness Center will be conducting a home-buying seminar for active-duty military members, retirees and their families. There will be a representative from the VA Office available to share information on the VA Loan Program. A representative from the AFRC will brief and answer financial questions related to home buying. The class will be 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 26 at the AFRC, Bldg. 1113. Space is limited. Comprehensive Airman Fitness Training

Comprehensive Airman Fitness Training is a three-day course for Airmen or Defense Department employees who will endorse this training and the resiliency program. Resilience training assistants are an integral element to provide awareness education and skill development techniques for Airman and their families while enhancing individual resilience across the four domains of CAF: mental, physical, social, and spiritual. The training dates are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 22 through 24, Aug. 19 through 21, Sept. 16 through 18, Oct. 14 through 16 and Dec. 9 through 11.
