The 56th Operations Support Squadron defeated the 56th Force Support Squadron 25-19 June 3 during an intramural softball game at the Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center softball field.

The game started out rough for OSS, going scoreless in the top of the first inning and FSS adding four runs during their half of the first.

The game took a turn at the top of the second inning when OSS rallied and scored six runs. During the bottom of the second inning FSS added six of their own, bringing the score to 11-10.

Both teams struggled during the third with OSS scoring the only run of the frame. OSS stretched its lead to four in the fourth and never looked back.

“We played really sloppy, but we got the win, making it seven wins in a row for us,” said Michael Seymour, 56th OSS aircrew flight equipment NCO-in-charge. “We started the season slow, but we’ve got a good team, and we are actually killing it.”

Although they lost, the 56th FSS is still motivated to work hard.

“We should’ve played better defense, but it’s okay since OSS was a good team, and overall, it was a good game,” said Daniel Evans, 56th FSS facility accountant. “Next time we need to work on hitting the ball more consistently.”
