The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents June 2 through 8:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 20 moving and two nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

June 3: Security forces responded to a minor two-privately owned vehicle accident in the medical clinic parking lot. Security forces arrived on scene and facilitated information exchange. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency responses

June 3: Security forces responded to a report of a possible drunken driver at Bldg. 1130. Security forces members attempted to calm the individual, but the individual did not comply. Glendale police arrived on scene and took control. The individual was transported to a hospital via ambulance.

June 3: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting in Bldg.1540. Security forces examined the security video tape and verified the subject departed without rendering full payment. The subject was issued a revocation of exchange privileges letter along with an immediate debarment for a time period of one year. Glendale police arrived on scene and transported the individual off the installation.

June 4: Security forces responded to a report of a wall jumper near the Kachina Gate. The individual was apprehended and released to the first sergeant.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to seven alarm activations on base.

Tip of the week

Points to remember when driving into the sun:

Wear polarized sunglasses to help reduce glare.

Use the vehicle sun visor to help block the sun.

Leave following room to allow more time to respond to vehicles ahead that are hard to see.

Increase visibility to other drivers by driving with the headlights on.
