Chaplain’s Thoughts

“The seeds of totalitarian regimes are nurtured by misery and want.”

~ Harry Truman

I would like to draw down this quote from the context of the Cold War, to us as individuals and the moral and spiritual battles we face daily. What about the seeds of bitterness, the seeds of discontent, the seeds of pridefulness in our lives … what are they nurtured by? Who are they nurtured by?

Too often we let negativity and despair take control of our lives. Too often we let people into our inner circle who should not be there. We must standup to and stand fast against ideas and people who bring us down a path of transgressions and deceit.

Proverb 11:30 tells us, “The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life.” Make sure you don’t let your circumstances get the best of you and surround yourself with people of integrity and high moral character.

Blessings from Above …
