The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Aug. 4 through 10:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 15 moving violations and two nonmoving violations.

Traffic-related incidents

Security forces responded to a minor two-vehicle accident north of the Bong Lane and Mustang Street intersection. There were no injuries.

Nonemergency responses

Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at Bldg. 1540. An individual appeared to be purchasing items at the self-checkout but departed before the transaction was completed. An immediate debarment order, a suspension of base exchange, commissary and shoppette privileges letter was issued, and the individual’s identification card was seized. Glendale police responded and took control.

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to four alarm activations.

Tip of the week

All motorists are reminded to safely “share the road” with motorcycles and to be extra alert to help keep motorcyclists safe. Look twice. Motorcyclists are reminded to make themselves visible to other motorists and wear all appropriate personal protective equipment.
