Stand up for vets
The 3rd Annual Stand Up For Veterans event is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Glendale Community College Student Union. There will be employment opportunities, social services, legal services, free hair cuts for veterans, free lunch for vets and their families, and more. U.S. AF birthday flag raising

EFMP respite care providers
The Exceptional Family Member Program provides respite care free of charge to active-duty Airman, Air Guard and Reserve members who have been activated for at least 31 days. Providers will be paid hourly by the contracted provider. An exceptional family member child is age birth through 18 who has been diagnosed with a severe or moderate special need. Siblings, age birth through 12, are also covered for respite care. Families receive 12 hours per month of free respite care per EFM child. FUNtastic Friday
Youth ages 6 to 12 participate in activities from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Luke Air Force Base Youth Programs’ FUNtastic Friday event. A nonrefundable early registration fee of $10 per YP member and $12 per guest is due by 5 p.m. Sept. 23. Thereafter, the cost is $15 per YP member and $17 per guest. Family camp out
The 56th Force Support Squadron Outdoor Recreation is featuring the Luke Air Force Base family camp out 4 p.m. Oct. 16 through breakfast Oct. 17. The cost is $10 for a family of four and $5 for each additional member. Bring a tent or rent a camping package at ODR for $15. It includes a tent and four sleeping bags. NCOPEC
NCO Professional Enhancement Course offers staff and technical sergeants an opportunity to interact with their peers while enhancing supervisory skills. It is a developmental course with a focus on the NCO tier who have completed Airman Leadership School three or more years ago but have not yet attended NCO Academy.
