Thanksgiving Day dinner

The Ray V. Hensman Dining Facility will host Thanksgiving Day lunch 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dinner 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 26 in Bldg. 545. A traditional menu will be served. There is no charge to meal card holders. Active-duty members, retirees and their dependents are welcome and pay according to what they select to eat. For more information, call 623-856-6396.

Forging Sabre exercise

Luke Air Force Base will host Forging Sabre, an exercise involving members of the Republic of Singapore armed forces Nov. 30 through Dec. 14. The exercise includes night and weekend flying operations at Luke AFB and the Barry M. Goldwater Range complex. The areas around Luke and the BMGR may experience more noise than usual as a result of the increased air activity and types of aircraft involved. There will be an increased military presence with military movements along Highway 85 south of Gila Bend as military position themselves within the Barry M. Goldwater range. Retiree Appreciation Day

Retiree Appreciation Day is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center. There will be flu shots given, giveaways, local and base agencies on hand and more. For more information, call Capt. Chuck Henderlite at 623-856-3216.

Retiree Will Day

The 56th Fighter Wing Legal office is hosting an opportunity for retirees to set up a legal will or modify an existing one
Nov. 7 at Retiree Appreciation Day. The office is currently accepting call-ins from retirees. Prior to the event, those interested must fill out an online worksheet at https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil/lass/lass.html and provide the legal office with the generated ticket number. Motorcycle safe driving

The Green Knights MMC28, 56th Fighter Wing Safety and Glendale police are conducting safe motorcycle riding demonstrations 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at the motorcycle safety range by outdoor recreation between 140 Drive and Harris Lane south of Marauder Street. Tax volunteers wanted

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is looking for volunteers to assist individuals and families in preparing tax returns for the upcoming 2016 tax season Jan. 25 through April 14. No prior tax experience is required. Once certified, volunteers will be asked to work at least four hours per week in the tax center. Services are provided free of charge. Family Halloween party

Club Five Six is holding a family Halloween party 4 to
8 p.m. today. Admission is free and includes a costume contest, bounce castle, face painting and prizes. A dinner buffet will be served 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost for club members is $10.95 per adult. Two children to age 12 eat free with one adult member purchase. The cost for nonmembers is $10.95 per person, $6.95 per child, ages 6 to 12, and $3 per child, ages 5 and younger. Enlisted volunteers for OTS

The Air Force is seeking qualified volunteers to become remotely piloted aircraft pilots. Enlisted members may compete to enter Officer Training School, earn a commission and attend undergraduate RPA training. Candidates must commission by age 35.
