The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Oct. 19 through 25 at Luke Air Force Base:
Tickets
Security forces issued citations for three moving violations and one nonmoving violation.
Emergency responses
Oct. 20: Security forces K-9 units responded to a request by Surprise police who stated they received a bomb threat at a facility near the installation. Security forces K9 terminated the response with negative findings.
Oct. 22: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1540. Security forces provided traffic control duties and coordinated with medical personnel. The patient was treated but requested not to be transported for further evaluation.
Oct. 25: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 820 base running track. Security forces provided first aid and coordinated with medical personnel. The patient was treated but requested not to be transported for further evaluation.
Nonemergency responses
Oct. 21: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at Bldg. 1540. Security forces detained a nonmilitary-affiliated civilian after review of security footage showed the individual departed without rendering full payment. Glendale police responded and took control.
Oct. 25: Security forces received a notification of a civil arrest by Peoria police on a military member for failure to obey a police officer. The unit first sergeant was notified and put in contact with Peoria police.
Oct. 19: Security forces stopped a nonmilitary-affiliated civilian at South Gate for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Security forces detected an odor of alcohol and verified there were open containers inside the vehicle. Glendale police responded and took control.
Oct. 22: Security forces received notification from Peoria police of a civil arrest on an active-duty military member assigned to Luke AFB. The military member was stopped for speeding and driving under the influence. Security forces notified the unit first sergeant.
Alarm activations
Security forces responded to 12 alarm activations on base.
