Give parents a break

The 56th Force Support Squadron Child Development Center and Youth Center are offering free childcare in a safe, age appropriate learning environment 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 20. Blended family classes

Haboob Havoc party, crud tourney

The 56th Operations Group is featuring the Haboob Havoc party and crud tournament at 4 p.m. Jan. 22 in Hangar 999. There will be a World War II warbird static display and live music. Bundles for babies

Expectant parents learn about all things baby 8 a.m. to noon Jan 22 at the 56th Force Support Squadron Airman & Family Readiness Center. For more information, call 623-85606550.

Wingman Wednesdays

Club Five Six offers Hump-Day Party 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Wings are 35 cents each and there are drink specials. For more information, call 623-856-6446.

DFAC closes

The Ray V. Hensman Dining Facility is closed for repairs and upgrades and will remain closed until further notice. Essential  Station Messing card members will be placed on base allowance for subsistence during that time. The Falcon Inn Flight Kitchen will be open, however; if meal card members choose to eat there, they will be considered cash paying customers and charged a surcharge. Scholarships for military children

The Scholarships for Military Children Program are accepting applications at the Luke Air Force Base Commissary and commissaries around the world. Applicants must be a dependent, unmarried child, younger than 21, or 23 if enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university, of active-duty service members, Reserve or Guard members, retirees or survivors of a military member who died while on active duty, or survivor of a retiree. Club Five Six change

Club Five Six is open for lunch 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. They are now offering soup, salad, sandwiches, hamburgers and wraps from the grill Monday through Friday. The buffet is available Tuesday through Friday. For more information, call Melissa Arnold at 623-856-6446, ext. 226.

Heartlink

Heartlink is a spouse-orientation program introducing new spouses to Air Force procedures and customs while highlighting the valuable role they play on the Air Force team. The orientation is 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at the 56th Force Support Squadron Airman & Family Readiness Center and includes a base tour, lunch, games and prizes.
