The finest aircraft in the Army Air Corps lined up in neat rows on the flightline for the edification of Governor James Rolph and thousands of eager spectators in September, 1932. Lieutenant Colonel Henry “Hap†Arnold provided a first class tour of the base for the governor’s visit, as well as a grand aerial display for the governor and spectators alike. The largest airplanes at the bottom of the photo are B-2 Condor bombers, with P-12 fighters to the left of the Condors and in rows the remaining length of the taxiway.
