Embry-Riddle waives application fee for military

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has waived the application fee for active duty military and reservists until Sept. 30. The waiver applies to associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. For more information, please contact the March ERAU office at 951-653-4074.

Ten steps to a federal job

Jump into summer the healthy way with weight watchers

All Team March employees and their family members are invited to attend a complimentary Weight Watchers meeting any Thursday at noon at Aces Sports Bar in the Hap Arnold Club to learn how the program works. Current members include civilian, military, men and women. Group members also pair up for walking and other fitness-related activities. Healthy living is easy with this group! Free electronic recycling event

912th hosts fundraiser

The 912th Air Refueling Squadron will host its Inaugural, Air Force Assistance Fund Golf Tournament at the General Old Golf Course, 16700 Village West Dr., Riverside Calif., June 8.

There will be a Shotgun Start along with Best Ball competition. Please R.S.V.P. with registration fees paid by close of business, June 1. This event is open to all Team March members. Update for USAF marathon runners

All passenger seating via military airlift for the U.S. Air Force Marathon has been filled. Additional airlift is not scheduled, however, there will be a stand-by list in case of cancellations. Healthcare assistance for uninsured Airmen

Airmen without health care insurance can utilize NeedyMeds, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit information resource devoted to helping people in need find assistance programs to help them afford their medications and costs related to health care. Their website has databases such as Patient Assistance Programs, Disease-Based Assistance and a current list of 1040 free clinics in Calif. Teens, special-needs youth camps

Registration for the 4-H Military Partnership Program 2012 camps is now open. They have two camps this summer, Rawhide Ranch for teens and Camp Ronald McDonald, a camp for special needs youth, ages 8-18. Senior NCOs step up to assist Command Chief Master Sergeant Kelly

A team of senior noncommissioned officers-in-charge have volunteered to fill the shoes of the 452d Air Mobility Wing’s command chief, Ericka Kelly, from March 26 through June 14, during Kelly’s temporary duty for her civilian job. Free YMCA memberships for military children

The YMCA Military Outreach Program receives assistance from the Defense Department to pay for military dependent memberships and respite care for military family members. Next Bundles for babies workshop, June 12

The Airman and Family Readiness Center will hold its next Bundles for Babies Workshop Tuesday, June 12, 2-4 p.m., in the Mission Support Group conference room at 1261 Graeber St, Bldg 2313. The workshop is for all base personnel who are expecting or those with a newborn. Pre-registration is required by e-mailing Valerie Fioretta at valerie.fioretta@us.af.mil.

March FITT holds natural running form clinic

March FITT will be holding a two session running clinic, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Topics will include running injuries, biomechanics and the science behind running shoes. For more information, contact Chief Master Sgt. Terry Luzader at 951-655-7608.

Modification to Tutor.com usage

The Tutor.com Adult Education Center, College Center and Career Center will no longer be available to active duty Air Force, Army, Marine Corps and deployed National Guard and Reserves adult service members, their spouses or their adult dependent children. The Department of Defense has issued funding modifications to ensure more tutoring sessions are available to dependent children in grades 1-12. Calif. ANG hosts free teen’s summer camp

The Calif. National Guard Child and Youth “Adventure’s in Leadership” Camp, will be held from June 26 to 28, for teens 14 to 18 years of age.
