The Single Airman Programming Initiative is an Air Force initiative, funded by the Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force, administered by Headquarters Air Force Services Agency and operated through installation Force Support Squadrons. The goal is to provide FSS with the resources that encourage a strong way of life, duty and a sense of community for single Airmen.

“The objective is to improve technology and communication within FSS programs and activities, provide various social and recreation opportunities through FSS recreational activities and offer Morale Welfare and Recreation life skills classes to create a single Airman culture that supports the whole-person healthy lifestyle,” said Valerie A. Fioretta, director, Airmen and Family Readiness Center. “Our customer is any Air Force active duty or Air Reserve component officer or enlisted member without a spouse.” Single Airmen will be given priority booking for these events, and other members of the community can attend if there is space.

At March Air Reserve Base, we offer indoor go-karting, kayaking and deep sea fishing. You can still sign up for the last two programs by calling Tina Greene at 951- 655-2763. There will be a small charge for transportation, but you will not be charged for admission.

The SAPI program has funded wireless internet at the Club and at Outdoor Recreation for two years. We also purchased a flat-screen TV, a karaoke machine, a Wii gaming console with interactive games and an X-Box with interactive games for the club. All of these items are available for the entire base population to enjoy.

Coming up Saturday, June 23 at 7 p.m., we will host a Single Airman Speed Socializing and Dance (our version of speed dating) at the club.

If you have any suggestions for day trips, classes or equipment, please e-mail valerie.fioretta@us.af.mil.

Perhaps you have a skill that you would like to share and you want to teach a class. If, so give us a call.

Please direct any questions or comments to Valerie Fioretta (MARCH ARB Single Airman POC) at 655-5322.
