UPDATE FOR USAF MARATHON TEAM MARCH RUNNERS

All passenger seating via military airlift for the U.S. Air Force Marathon have been filled. Additional airlift is not scheduled. For more information, contact Chief Master Sgt.Terry L. Luzader, chief, NAF Aviation Resource Functional Manager at 951-655-7608.

Unfortunately due to mission requirements, the original allocation of 100 passengers has been scaled down to 86. Please contact Chief Luzader at 951-655-7608 as soon as possible if you are no longer able to participate. They may need to eliminate some people based on sign-up date.

 

YOUTH SERVICE AMERICA OFFERS SCHOOL GRANTS

Youth Service America is currently accepting applications for the 2012-2013 YSA Grant School and program year. The Harris Wofford Youth Award and the Harris Wofford Young Educator Award will be awarded to deserving applicants. EMBRY-RIDDLE WAIVES APPLICATION FEE FOR MILITARY

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has waived the application fee for active duty military and reservists until Sept. 30. The waiver applies to associates, bachelors and master’s degree programs. For more information, please contact the ERAU office at March ARB at 951-653-4074.

 

JUMP INTO SUMMER THE HEALTHY WAY WITH WEIGHT WATCHERS

All Team March employees and their family members are invited to attend a complimentary Weight Watchers meeting any Thursday at noon at Aces Sports Bar in the Hap Arnold Club to learn how the program works. Current members include civilian, military, men and women. Group members also pair up for walking and other fitness-related activities. Healthy living is easy with this group! HEALTHCARE ASSISTANCE FOR UNINSURED AIRMEN

Airmen without health care insurance can use NeedyMeds, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit information resource devoted to helping people in need find assistance programs to help them afford their medications and costs related to health care. Their website has databases such as Patient Assistance Programs, Disease-Based Assistance and a current list of 1040 free clinics in Calif. FREE YMCA MEMBERSHIPS FOR MILITARY CHILDREN

The YMCA Military Outreach Program receives assistance from the Defense Department to pay for military dependent memberships and respite care for military family members. Active duty, National Guard and Reserve families are eligible to apply.
