 INTRAMURAL BOWLING LEAGUE COACHES TO MEET

The 2012/2013 intramural Bowling League is tentatively scheduled to begin, Sept. 10.

The next coaches’ meeting will be held in the conference room of building 430, 10 a.m., Aug. 13.

THE MARCH IDOL TALENT SHOW NEEDS YOUR TALENT

The 5th Annual March Idol Talent show will be held at the March Air Reserve Base Cultural Center, 5 p.m., Sept. 8. 452 AMW MILITARY BALL

The 452d AMW Military Ball will be held Nov. 17, at the Pechanga Casino, 45000 Pechanga Parkway. Room reservations can be made at www.penchaga.com or call 877-711-2WIN, option 1. Participants are required to use group/block code: SUSAF1112 and mention, USAF 452d Military Ball group, when reserving.  Deadline for reservations is Oct. 17. ATTENTION MARCH RUNNERS!

According to the Hilton Garden Inn (as of July 25), there are 24 rooms left in our reserved block. The last date to reserve a room at the discount rate is August 1. COMMISSARY CLOSING AND GRAND OPENING

The March ARB commissary will close early at 2:30 p.m., Aug. 12, and remain closed until August 14. The commissary will have its Grand Reopening, Aug. 15, at 9 a.m., with special promotions, giveaways, drawings, cake and food. For more information, contact Phil Ruiz at 951-653-2206, ext 105.
 

FREE ADMISSION TO BLUE STAR MUSEUMS

Blue Star museums will be offering free admission to military and their dependents until Sept 3. The museums are a collaboration among the National Endowment of the Arts, Blues Star Families, DOD and more than 1,800 museums across America. 452 FSS HOSTS FUN RUN TO BENEFIT WOUNDED WARRIORS

The Wounded Warrior 5K/10K Run/Walk will be held at the Fit-2-Fight track, Aug. 7, at 7 a.m. Medals and T-shirts will be awarded. Participants can register at the Fitness Center or email request to pamela.smith.2@us.af.mil. Donations will benefit the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
 

SEPTEMBER YELLOW RIBBON EVENT

Registration will soon open for the September Yellow Ribbon event. The event will be held Sept. 14 to 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will host programs, resources, referrals and services to minimize stress on families during all phases of deployment. 5K RUN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The March Fitness Center, America’s Kids/Adult Run and the First Sergeants’ Association are hosting a 9/11 Remembrance 5K on the morning of the Military Appreciation Picnic, Sept. 8. The event will begin with registration at 6:30 a.m. and the 5K will start at 8 a.m. Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up/tear down, manning of water stations, registration, distribution of T-Shirts and timekeepers. 452 AMW ASSUMPTION OF COMMAND

Maj. Gen. Mark A. Kyle, commander, 4th Air Force, cordially invites you to attend a ceremony at which Col. Samuel C. Mahaney will assume command of the 452nd Air Mobility Wing on Sunday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m. in Hangar 2306. Military members will wear the uniform of the day.

All Team March employees and their family members are invited to attend complimentary Weight Watchers meeting every Thursday, noon at Aces Sports Bar in the Hap Arnold Club. Current members include civilian, military, men and women. Group members also pair up for walking and other fitness-related activities. So far, as a group, we have lost more than 300 pounds. Airmen without health care insurance can utilize NeedyMeds, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit information resource devoted to helping people in need find assistance programs to help them afford their medications and costs related to health care. Their website has databases such as Patient Assistance Programs, Disease-Based Assistance and a current list of 1040 free clinics in Calif.
