MARCH MEMBERS NEED TO COMPLETE IMPORTANT EMPLOYEE COMMUTE SURVEY 

The Air Program/Rideshare program requires all full-time employees to access the Employee Commute Survey and fill in the required information. The dates should reflect your actual travel-to-work for the week of Oct. 10 to Nov. 4, 2012. STROLL INTO WINTER THE HEALTHY WAY WITH WEIGHT WATCHERS

All Team March employees and their family members are invited to attend a complimentary Weight Watchers meeting any Thursday at noon at Aces Sports Bar in the Hap Arnold Club to learn how the program works. Group members also pair up for walking and other fitness-related activities. Healthy living is easy with this group! Total weight lost in 11 months for the Weight Watcher’s Group is 415 pounds. BUNDLES FOR BABIES CLASS SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER

The Airman and Family Readiness Center will hold its next Bundles for Babies Workshop Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the Mission Support Group conference room at Bldg. 2313, for all base personnel who are expecting or those with a newborn. Pre-registration is required by contacting Valerie Fioretta at valerie.fioretta@us.af.mil.

TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SLOTS AVAILABLE

Los Angeles Air Force Base will conduct fiscal year 2013 TAP classes for interested military and family members. As of Oct. 24, the following dates are available:

  • Dec. 10 through 14
  • Jan. 14 through 18

Reservists will not be reimbursed for travel or per diem. To make reservations, call 310-653-5428.

BEACON SEEKS INFORMATIONAL OPERATIONAL READINESS INSPECTION STORIES

NOVEMBER YELLOW RIBBON EVENT OPENS FOR REGISTRATION

Register for the November Yellow Ribbon event. The venue will be held at Tysons Corner, Va., Washington D.C. metropolitan area from Nov. 16 to 18. 2012-2013 FLU SEASON CAMPAIGN STILL ON

The 452nd Aeromedical Squadron will be providing flu shots and mist to military members (on military status) — those over 49 years old must take the shot. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact Maj. Lorraine Assumma at 951-655-6261.

EMPLOYER APPRECIATION DAYS POSTPONED

Due to preparations for the upcoming ORI/NORI, the Nov. 3 and 17 Employer Appreciation Days are being rescheduled to March 2013. If you submitted a nomination form, please inform your employers of the postponement. You will need to watch The Beacon for the new nomination forms at the beginning of the year and resubmit them. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The following trips, sponsored by the Airmen & Family Readiness Center, are open to all base personnel, although priority will be given to single Airmen:

452D FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFERS DTS LAB

Financial Management will conduct DTS computer labs every Unit Training Assembly, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Building 466.
