A&FRC OFFERS TSP ‘LUNCH AND LEARN’ WORKSHOP

The Airman & Family Readiness Center will be offering a Thrift Savings Plan workshop on Friday, Dec. 7, in the Mission Support Group conference room, Bldg. 2313, from noon to 1 p.m. Discussions will be held on how you can make TSP a part of your financial wellness plan. 2012-2013 FLU SEASON CAMPAIGN STILL ON

The 452nd Aeromedical Squadron will be providing flu shots and mist to military members (on military status) — those more than 49 years old must take the shot. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact Maj. Lorraine Assumma at 951-655-6261.

452D FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFERS DTS LAB

Financial Management will conduct DTS computer labs every Unit Training Assembly, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Building 466. LEAGUE OF LATIN AMERICAN CITIZENS CHAPTER MEETS NOVEMBER 17

The March LULAC chapter will hold a meeting on the B Unit Training Assembly, Saturday, Nov. 17, 11 a.m. in the Mission Support Group conference room. All are welcome. STROLL INTO WINTER THE HEALTHY WAY WITH WEIGHT WATCHERS

All Team March employees and their family members are invited to attend a complimentary Weight Watchers meeting any Thursday at noon at Aces Sports Bar in the Hap Arnold Club to learn how the program works. Group members also pair up for walking and other fitness-related activities. Healthy living is easy with this group! Total weight lost in 11 months for the group is more than 425 pounds. MARCH MEMBERS NEED TO COMPLETE IMPORTANT EMPLOYEE COMMUTE SURVEY

The Air Program/Rideshare program requires all full time employees access the Employee Commute Survey and fill in the required information. The dates should reflect your actual travel-to-work for the week of Oct. 10 to Nov. 4, 2012. ATTENTION ALL MARCH PERSONNEL

Construction for the new running track and associated buildings is underway at the north end of the base near the softball field. It is imperative that all unauthorized personnel stay out of the area. For everyone’s safety please use the base 1.5-mile track. TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SLOTS AVAILABLE

Los Angeles Air Force Base will conduct fiscal year 2013 TAP classes for interested military and family members. As of Oct. 24, the following dates are available:

  • Dec. 10 through 14
  • Jan. 14 through 18

Reservists will not be reimbursed for travel or per diem. To make reservations, call 310-653-5428.

BEACON SEEKS INFORMATIONAL OPERATIONAL READINESS INSPECTION STORIES

The Beacon will be running a series of informational articles to help prepare for the Operational Readiness Inspection. If you would like to submit a story to help personnel with one or more aspects of the ORI, please send it 452amw.paworkflow@us.af.mil or darnell.gardner.1@us.af.mil.

SINGLE AIRMAN’S PROGRAM SCHEDULE
