NOTIFICATION OF RESTRICTED AREA

March members are to avoid running, jogging, or walking on the perimeter road past the March Fire Department from Dec. 3 to16. This is due to ongoing construction at Gate 51. For more information, contact Master Sgt. Christopher Jugas at 951-655-4950.

A&FRC OFFERS TSP ‘LUNCH AND LEARN’ WORKSHOP

The Airman & Family Readiness Center will be offering a Thrift Savings Plan workshop on Friday, Dec. 7, in the Mission Support Group conference room, Bldg. 2313, from noon to 1 p.m. Discussions will be held on how you can make TSP a part of your financial wellness plan. TR POSITION OPEN AT THE A&FRC

The Airman & Family Readiness Center is looking for an outstanding traditional reservist NCO who wants to enhance his or her military career by helping our Airmen and their families achieve mission readiness through personal and family readiness. INVITATION TO ATTEND

The 452d Air Mobility Wing’s 2013 Annual Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at  the Marriot, 3400 Market Street, Riverside, Calif. Social hour will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., dinner from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the awards presentation will close out the evening starting at 8:30 p.m. The cost will be $40 per person and payments will be collected by squadron first sergeants.

SINGLE AIRMAN’S PROGRAM SCHEDULE

The following trips, sponsored by the Airmen & Family Readiness Center, are open to all base personnel, although priority will be given to single Airmen:

  • Dec. 15 – Horseback Riding
  • Jan. 12 – Shotguns and Single Airmen (shooting competition)
  • Feb. 9 – Motocross at Ocotillo Wells
  • Feb. 16 – Snow tubing at Big Bear

BEACON SEEKS ORI STORIES

The 452d AMW commander has authorized the following Goal Days to recognize the accomplishments of Team March members:

A liberal leave policy is highly encouraged by all members, mission permitting.

452D FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFERS DTS LAB

Financial Management will conduct DTS computer labs every Unit Training Assembly, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Building 466. ATTENTION MARCH PERSONNEL

Construction for the new running track and associated buildings is underway at the north end of the base near the softball field. It is imperative that all unauthorized personnel stay out of the area. For everyone’s safety please use the base 1.5-mile track. TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SLOTS AVAILABLE

Los Angeles AFB will conduct fiscal year 2013 TAP classes for interested military and family members. As of Oct. 24, the following dates are available:

  • Dec. 10 through 14
  • Jan. 14 through 18, 2013

Reservists will not be reimbursed for travel or per diem. To make reservations, call 310-653-5428.
