Megan Crusher, 452d AMW public affairs, during deployment processing, in preparation for the Operational Readiness Inspection, held at Gulfport, Miss., from Jan. 28 to Feb. 2.

Master Sgt. John Hale, 452d AMW historian, prepares to load bags on a truck as he awaits bus transportation to the deployment processing area. Gloves are required to be worn when loading bags.

Ms. Valerie Fioretta, 452d Air Mobility Wing Airman & Family Readiness Center director, briefs personnel on services available to them and their families. The group received briefings from A&FRC, medical, legal, personnel and the chaplain to begin deployment processing for the ORI.

Deploying 452d AMW members receive instructions from deployment processing center personnel prior to moving through the line. Wing members trained for more than a year in preparation for the Operational Readiness Inspection, where they will be inspected along with the 445th Air Mobility Wing, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Team March members endure the long, tedious lines for deployment processing. Personnelists verify blood type, religious preference, next of kin contact information and other vital records prior to the member’s deployment.

452d Logistical Readiness Squadron members, Staff Sgt. John Crump and Airman 1st Class Monique Partee, secure webbing to the bottom of a baggage pallet to prepare it for transportation to Gulfport in support of the ORI.

Senior Airman Andrew Conde, 50th Aerial Port Squadron, skillfully measures the height of baggage on a pallet to ensure it meets load requirements for a C-17 bound for Gulfport, Miss., in support of the ORI.

Wing members are treated to some snacks after completing their deployment processing for the Operational Readiness Inspection.
