Hau assumes command of 729th Operations Support Squadron

March Air Reserve Base, Calif.,– Lt. Col Andreas S. Haus assumed command of the 729th Airlift Squadron in a ceremony held, June 22. Hau replaced Lt. Col. Paul J. Blenz, who served as commander of the 729th OSS since 2010. Col. Mark E. Sigler, 452nd Operations Group Commander officiated the ceremony.

“I am confident that I chose the right person for the job,” said Siegler.

Hau spoke about the kind of commander he will be.

“I will make all my decisions with the squadron’s best interest in mind, will be fair and have an open door policy. We will follow three rules: fly the mission, manage change and establish a developmental culture.”

Prior to taking over command of the 729th, Hau served as the deputy commander of the 452nd Air Mobility Wing.
