FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE WALK SCHEDULED

There will be a base FOD walk July 10, at 7:15 a.m. Meeting point is flight line side of the previous Air Passenger Terminal building. Please use alternate gates due to construction and bring a plastic trash bag. Carpool as much as possible as parking is very limited.

MARCH COMMISSARY CLOSED MONDAYS

Beginning July 8 the March ARB Commissary will be closed Mondays due to furloughs caused by sequestration. This schedule will be in effect until Sept. 30. Operating hours for the remaining days will remain the same.

VOLUNTEER AT RETIREE ACTIVITIES OFFICE

The RAO is in need of volunteers to work Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m. Retired military and their dependents are encouraged to apply. For more information, contact Lt. Col. Carter or Senior Master Sgt. Brown at 951-655-4077 or 951-655-4079.

EXTENDED OPERATION FOR MARCH TAX CENTER

The March ARB Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Center will remain open for amending income tax returns and filing prior year returns. Appointments will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with time slots from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please Email, marchvita@yahoo.com or call 951-655-3659.

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR YELLOW RIBBON EVENTS

The events will provide programs, resources, referrals and services to minimize stress on families during all phases of deployment. Registration opening soon for the following upcoming events:

• Orlando Fla., July 19 to 21

• Scottsdale, Ariz., July 26 to 28

RUNNING TRACK SUMMER HOURS

The base running track is available for use between the hours of 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. throughout the summer months. Hours of operations were determined due to safety concerns. The track has not been equipped with proper lighting yet, which can cause hazard conditions for runners before or after daylight. Updated information will be provided after the completion of the track.

The public affairs office is compiling a list of all Team March members who have talent when it comes to entertainment. So if you sing, dance, play and instrument, act, etc., please let us know by sending an Email to 452amw.paworkflow@us.af.mil. Include your full name, rank, Email address and phone number and be sure to tell us what your talents are.

TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SLOTS AVAILABLE

Los Angeles Air Force Base will conduct TAP classes for those interested military and family. Dates are

July 8 to 12 Aug. 12 to 16

Sept. 9 to 13 Oct. 7 to 11

Nov. 4 to 8 Dec. 9 to 13

Reservists will not be reimbursed for travel or per diem. To make reservations, call 310-653-5428.

SAFETY ADVISORY

Drivers and pedestrians traveling near the Air Traffic Control Tower, Bldg. 1220, should proceed with caution due to the construction of the new tower. In addition, the gate entering the Flightline at Base Ops (F18) is now closed. All personnel needing access will still sign in at Base Ops, then enter the Flightline through the gate at Security Forces (Bldg. 470).

SHOW YOUR FAMILY THE DEPLOYMENT PROCESS JULY 13

The 452 Logistics Readiness Squadron will host Operation Family First, Sat., July 13, 1:00 p.m., Bldg. 385. Dependent children will go through a mobility processing line to familiarize them with what happens when a family member deploys. Airman and Family Readiness will brief adults on programs available to them and their children. All reservists and their family members are welcomed to attend.
