The Air Force Sergeant’s Association is the only organization dedicated solely to representing enlisted men and women (like you) and your families. It’s more than just maintaining your existing allowances… it is also about contributing to the discussion in a way that lawmakers better understand “your” needs. In fact, because of our reputation, AFSA has a by-name seat at the influential tables in both the Congress and the Pentagon to help shape the tough policy decisions affecting the enlisted corps today.

As an association, our primary mission is the attainment and protection of quality-of-life benefits for those who serve. We achieve this through our legislative efforts on Capitol Hill. We have a great legislative team led by retired Master Sgt. Morgan Brown, AFSA’s Director of Military and Government Relations who is the architect of our lobbying and testimonial efforts on Capitol Hill.

However, our legislative team would not be successful if we did not have a good-sized association.
Membership size is critical to legislative success. The membership strength of an association like AFSA directly correlates to access, influence, and success. This has been proven time and time again throughout the AFSA’s 52-year history.

In June, 2013, Master Sgt. Javier Murillo, 452nd Security Forces Squadron, was elected president of the March ARB Chapter, F1360 of the AFSA. The new chapter leadership is currently orchestrating the resurgence of the chapter.

“There are three key components to this resurgence,” said Murillo. “First we have to increase awareness; we have to let people know we are here and what it is we stand for. Then we have to increase our membership strength. Recruiting efforts are critical to the future success of this chapter and the association as a whole. And last but certainly not least, we have to get involved.”

All members will be afforded opportunities to plan, organize and participate in fund raising efforts and events within the local community and installation. Planning and organizing such events also helps us grow and develop our people incorporating the whole person concept and the Air Force core values.

Local chapter meetings are open to everyone, members and non-members. Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of every month and on Saturdays of the A and B Unit Training Assemblies.
