Celebrate Summer by Fishing For Free Sept. 7
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is offering anglers a free day of fishing on Saturday, Sept. 7, the weekend following Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2. WINGMAN DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Drivers and pedestrians traveling near the Air Traffic Control Tower, Bldg. 1220, should proceed with caution due to the construction of the new tower. In addition, the gate entering the Flightline at Base Ops (F18) is now closed. All personnel needing access will still sign in at Base Ops, then enter the Flightline through the gate at Security Forces (Bldg. 470).
Dept. of Veterans Affairs to Offer Benefits Briefings
Representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs will be at March Sept. 8 to provide a briefing about benefits available to military members and their families. Those interested in attending the briefing can sign up by calling the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 951-655-5350

Transition Assistance Program Slots Available
Los Angeles Air Force Base will conduct TAP classes for those interested military members and their families. Dates are:
- Aug. 12 to 16 Sept. 9 to 13
- Oct. 7 to 11 Nov. 4 to 8 Dec. 9 to 13

First Sergeant’s Council Remembrance Run
