THANKSGIVING MEALS FOR MARCH WORKERS
Moreno Valley VFW Post 8547 will provide Thanksgiving Day Meals to all 24-hour work agencies on base during Thanksgiving. In order to notify and involve as many people as possible, they are asking for points of contact for agencies who will be working shift through Thanksgiving. Their goal is to instill overall morale and to thank the men & women of March ARB for their continued commitment and support. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY NOVEMBER 9
The March Aviation Society (MAS) is looking for 60-70 volunteers to work their Brew Fest on Nov. 9, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the March Field Air Museum. Volunteers who work a minimum of three hours will receive a food voucher. Volunteers must wear black bottoms and a white, collared shirt. MARCH RESERVE/GUARD FORCE SUPPORT SQUADRONS CLOSE WEDNESDAYS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The 452nd Force Support Squadron was selected as a test base for the Secretary of the Air Force-directed 3-1 Functional Integration program. “3-1 Integration” is the sharing of common Personnel and Services resources at locations with more than one FSS (active duty, AFRC or ANG). At March Field, the 452nd FSS is the lead unit, with the 163rd FSS collocating where possible to provide “one stop shopping” to all customers, no matter what component they belong to.
In order to prepare for 3-1 implementation, the 452nd and 163rd FSS units will be closed all day on Wednesdays, effective immediately. All FSS sections are affected, with the exception of the The Airman & Family Readiness Center which will be closed all day on Thursdays. If you have any questions, please call 951-655-3639.

Finance Customer Service hours on Unit Training Assembly weekends are now 8:30 a.m. until noon. Weekday hours remain the same.

VA BENEFITS BRIEFING DECEMBER 8
There is a VA benefits briefing scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8. Sign in is at 7:30 a.m. and the class is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break and then again from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. You must be able to attend all six hours of the class. This class is targeted for Reserve personnel assigned to the 452nd Air Mobility Wing, who have had the three-hour pre-separation briefing, and Reserve personnel going on or coming off of 180 days of consecutive orders for deployments, school or training. Others may attend as well and no one will be turned away. When you call Airman & Family Readiness Center at 951-655-5350 to sign up, you will be told the location of the class. Leave your name and number for a return call if needed. Bring two pencils or pens, a notepad and a clipboard as the venue may have no desks. Laptops, etc. can also be used.
Bundles for Babies Workshop Offered
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will host its next Bundles for Babies Workshop on Friday, 15 November, 2-4 p.m., in the Mission Support Group Conference Room. The workshop is for all base personnel who are expecting or those with a newborn. Pre-registration is required by E-mailing email@example.com.

SERVICE MEMBERS GROUP LIFE INSURANCE DEBT EXPLAINED
Your Servicemembers Group Life Insurance payment is deducted from your pay once a month and is reflected on your LES. For each month you are not in status (active duty, UTA, etc.), you will incur a debt and the missed payment(s) will rollover and be deducted from your next check. If you have any questions regarding your SGLI you can contact your Customer Support office at 951-655-3028. For questions regarding payments contact the Finance office at 655-3050.
TRANSITIONAL ASSISTANCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS ADDRESSED
The Transitional Assistance Management Program 180 provides medical benefits to eligible reservists and their dependents. To be eligible, the member must have participated in Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom or Operation New Dawn for a continuous period of 31 days or more.
When an eligible member receives orders that he or she will be participating in one of these contingencies the member should come to the Customer Support office immediately to update DEERS. Team March members and their friends and families who are interested in volunteering may be eligible for Pre-Alert phase of UP-TO 180 days of TAMP-180 before the orders start and will receive a period of 180 days AFTER the orders end.
Please note: The member MUST come to the Customer Support office with his or her orders to update DEERS, and notify TriCare EVERY time their status changes.

INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE TO BEGIN JAN 21, 2014
The 2014 Intramural Volleyball League is tentatively scheduled to begin on 21 January 2014. The first mandatory coach’s preseason meeting will be held on 30 October, at 1000, in the conference room in building 430. The second meeting will be held on 13 November at 1300, and the final coaches meeting will be held on 11 December at 1000. All meetings will be held in building 430.
