Honoring veterans in the southland

Len Tavernetti, Service Officer, Military Order of the Purple Hearts Chapter 2929, and Senior Master Sgt. Josephine Carrillo, 452nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, receive a Purple Heart proclamation from the City of Moreno Valley at a Veteran’s Day ceremony Nov. 11, 2013, at the city’s Memorial Circle. Tavernetti and Carrillo are both life members of Chapter 2929, and Carrillo is the March Yellow Ribbon Program representative.
