Armed Forces Network earns error-free month

A team of contractors at the American Forces Network Broadcast Center, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., achieved something that hasn’t happened since 2005 – an error free month.

The contractors, Taft Broadcast Operations Support Services, off-line and remove Stateside TV commercials as well as prepare playlists and promotional materials for AFN stations around the world.

The AFN Broadcast Center Director, Dave Gebhardt, said Taft, “has always met or exceeded the goals of their contract but, they clearly surpassed the standard in November (2013).”

Taft hosted a luncheon for their staff to celebrate. Speaking on behalf of the rest of the team, Roy Mason, Taft BOSS Project Manager said, “We take great pride in serving along with our government counterparts and are happy to bring a taste of home to the military and government around the world.”
