The RecOn program, reserved for those members who have recently returned from deployment and their family members, has been authorized a learn-to-ski-day for you and your family. Make some lasting memories or start a new hobby. Either way, you’ll want to be part of this trip to scenic Mountain High Ski Resort on February 1, 2014. Trip includes ski/snow board equipment, transportation, lift pass and instructor. Event is free. Sign up early as spaces are limited!

Got a little extra energy hanging around from your last deployment? Let’s go blow off some steam with six hours of paintball at SC Village in Corona, arguably the best paintball facility in the U.S. with 21 fields. Trip is March 15, 2014, and includes multiple field games, weapon, 2000 rounds, safety gear and referees. Event is free.

RecOn is at it again. We have bungee jumping off the Bridge to Nowhere in Azusa, Calif. If heart-pumping adrenalin is what you’re after, this is it! Transportation will be provided for this May 10, 2014, adventure where you’ll start at the base camp and hike five miles back to the bridge. This should give you plenty of time to think about what it’s like to jump off a 300’ bridge. Event is free.

Outdoor Recreation has purchased an outdoor theater package to include a 25 x 14 foot inflatable screen, high definition video processers and complete sound systems to be used, primarily, on Unit Training Assembly Saturdays to show free movies to single Airmen and others who may be here. This system also can be used for video gaming, karaoke and instructional applications.

Attention Single Airmen, Outdoor Recreation is going land sailing at Edwards Air Force Base on Saturday, April 12, 2014. This is one of those events you’ve just got to try! Sailing across the dried lake bed on three wheels is exciting but getting up on two wheels is a lifetime memory! Check with Outdoor Recreation for all the detail. Event is free.,
