Hap Arnold Club happenings – call 951-655-4920

The Hap Arnold Club is hosting a Sweetheart Dinner February 14, 2014. Dinner includes prime rib and a complimentary glass of wine. There will be live entertainment and dancing. Tickets are on sale now at the club for $23 for members and $25 for non-members.

The Hap Arnold Club is hosting a Super Bowl party in the ballroom on February 2, 2014. Join them for games, fun, food and prizes. Call Mike at 951-655-4920 for more information or to make reservations.

Outdoor Recreation events – call 951-655-2816

The RecOn program, reserved for those members who have recently returned from deployment and their family members, has been authorized a learn-to-ski-day for you and your family. Make some lasting memories or start a new hobby. Either way, you’ll want to be part of this trip to scenic Mountain High Ski Resort on February 1, 2014. Trip includes ski/snow board equipment, transportation, lift pass and instructor. Event is free. Sign up early as spaces are limited!

Got a little extra energy hanging around from your last deployment? Let’s go blow off some steam with six hours of paintball at SC Village in Corona, arguably the best paintball facility in the U.S. with 21 fields. Trip is March 15, 2014, and includes multiple field games, weapon, 2000 rounds, safety gear and referees. Event is free.

RecOn is at it again. We have bungee jumping off the Bridge to Nowhere in Azusa, Calif. If heart-pumping adrenalin is what you’re after, this is it! Transportation will be provided for this May 10, 2014, adventure where you’ll start at the base camp and hike five miles back to the bridge. This should give you plenty of time to think about what it’s like to jump off a 300’ bridge. Event is free.

Outdoor Recreation has purchased an outdoor theater package to include a 25 x 14 foot inflatable screen, high definition video processers and complete sound systems to be used, primarily, on Unit Training Assembly Saturdays to show free movies to single Airmen and others who may be here. This system also can be used for video gaming, karaoke and instructional applications.

Attention Single Airmen, Outdoor Recreation is going land sailing at Edwards Air Force Base on Saturday, April 12, 2014. This is one of those events you’ve just got to try! Sailing across the dried lake bed on three wheels is exciting but getting up on two wheels is a lifetime memory! Check with Outdoor Recreation for all the detail. Event is free.,

Disney Resident Special – ITT is now selling the Disney Resident Special, for those who live in the 90000-93599 zip code areas. This promotion is valid thru June 6, 2014. Tickets will be on sale thru May 30, 2014. Blackout dates are March 31 through April 20, 2014. Proof of residence must be shown at the time of purchase and at Disney Parks.

As with all tickets purchased at Ticket and Tours, your military or DOD identification card must be presented the time of purchase and carried with you when using the tickets. Ticket purchase is limited to eight per family.

Special promotion tickets are as follows:

2-day ticket, adult or child, $122 per person. This ticket is one park per day.

2-day Park Hopper ticket, adult or child, $153 per person

3-day ticket, adult or child, $142 per person. This ticket is one park per day.

3-day Park Hopper ticket, adult or child $172 per person.

Feb. 15, 2014 – Two-hour harbor cruise on the Patriot Jet Boats, and shopping at Horton Plaza. Cost is $40 per person and includes cruise and transportation. The minimum age is 10 years. Tour departs at 9 a.m. and returns approximately 7 p.m. The deadline for sign up is Feb. 3, 2014.

March 29, 2014 – Vegas Turnaround trip. Cost is $18 per person for transportation. The minimum age is 21 years. Tour departs at 6 a.m. and returns approximately 3 a.m. The deadline for sign up is March 24, 2014.

Personal Training is available by appointment and the 500-Mile Club incentive program is offered monthly. Scheduled events are as follows:

  • Lunchtime volleyball daily Monday through Friday
  • Lunchtime flag football on Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
  • Zumba Toning on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Fridays at 10 a.m.
  • Intro to TRX classes on Mondays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Intermediate TRX classes on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • All levels of TRX classes are also offered on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5 p.m.

January UTA activities

  • Unit PT basketball scrimmage on Saturday, January 25 at 5 p.m.
  • TRX class on Saturday, January 25 at 4:30 p.m.
  • Punt, pass, kick competition on February 3 at 11 a.m.
  • TRX 25/25 challenge on February 11 at 11 a.m.
  • Circuit Training class on February 27 at 5 p.m.
