JOIN THE HAP ARNOLD CLUB ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The Hap Arnold Club just launched its Facebook page to keep everyone informed of upcoming events and specials. You can find them by going to the social media site and entering Hap Arnold Club in the search box. The profile photo on the page is one of General Hap Arnold, the father of the Air Force.

COMPANY GRADE OFFICERS INVITE NEWCOMERS

If you are a Company Grade Officer, please come join us, get involved and network too! The CGOC meeting is scheduled Sunday of every Unit Training Assembly at 1 p.m. in the 452nd Maintenance Group conference room. Join them and bring a friend. Share your great ideas, learn about upcoming events for on and off duty.

Riverside gate open limited hours on utas

Security Forces would like to remind everyone that the Riverside Gate, on Riverside Drive, near Bldg. 601 (4th Combat Camera Squadron), is open on the A and B Unit Training Assembly weekends as follows: 5:30-7:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 3:30-5:30 p.m.

AIRMAN & FAMILY READINESS OFFERS FREE WORKSHOP

The March Airman and Family Readiness office is sponsoring a free workshop in conjunction with Military Saves Week, Feb. 24-28. “Ways to Save” will focus on this year’s theme—Set a goal, make a plan, save automatically. The workshop will be Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Mission Support Group conference room in Bldg. 2313, Room 6. Pre-registration is mandatory at valerie.fioretta@us.af.mil. Seating is limited. Reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

THE AIR FORCE RESERVE COMMAND YELLOW RIBBON PROGRAM

helps maintain resiliency during all stages of deployment and is paramount to the morale and welfare of our Airmen and families. The AFRC YRP is a series of events designed to provide members and families with essential resources prior to departure (pre-deployment), a level of stability and support while deployed (during deployment), and successful re-integration techniques after the deployment cycle ends (post deployment). MARCH VITA CENTER NEEDS RESERVISTS TO STEP UP AND HELP

The March Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Center needs Reserve volunteers to step up and help in order for reservists to be able to take advantage of the free tax filing for 2014. They currently have volunteers from the active duty members, which will allow all active duty to get free tax filings.

There is still time for reservists to volunteer and help their fellow Airmen. Please complete your training as soon as possible.  To volunteer, visit https://www.linklearncertification.com/d and create an account. Then complete all training listed under the “Military” tab.

Submit the certificates to david.shore@us.af.mil or and let him know which days and hours you are available to volunteer during the week. Club promotes healthier eating

The Back Street Café, in the Hap Arnold Club, has joined the Healthy Base Initiative with their daily lunch specials. The new cuisine received high praises from a panel of tasters prior to the launch. Daily specials range from $6.95-8.95 for members and $7.95-9.95 for non-members and include Arnold Club chicken salad, Thai shrimp burrito combo, shrimp scampi and baby back ribs. W-2s AVAILABLE ON MY PAY

Military members can now log on to My Pay to print a copy of their W-2s for tax-filing purposes. It is accessible through the Air Force Portal or log on at https://mypay.dfas.mil.

IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN VETERANS REFERRAL PROGRAM

The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) launched its Rapid Response Referral Program (RRRP) to California on Jan. 23, 2014. The program directly connects new veterans and their families to local resources and to one-on-one support with IAVA’s Veteran Transition Managers. The RRRP helps cut through red tape and provides California post-9/11 veterans and their families with access to services ranging across employment, education, housing, mental health and more.
