Staff Sgt. Randy Bowen and Tech. Sgt. Gary Robinson, 452nd Security Forces Squadron, bring down the U.S. Flag at March Air Reserve Base, Calif., Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, amidst the blue skies and warm weather of the Southern California area. Retreat signifies the end of the duty day, and is performed as the National Anthem plays. The SFS is responsible for the daily playing of reville, retreat and taps as well as the raising and lowering of the flag, rain or shine.
