R-GAMES COMPETITION CANCELLED

The Reserve Officers Association (ROA) has cancelled the R-Games competition scheduled for April 26, due to a scheduling conflict. All registrants will receive a full refund. Refunds will be issued in the form of mailed checks. If you did not provide complete contact information at the time of registration, our staff will contact you directly to confirm a valid mailing address. If your original contact information has changed, or if you have any questions, concerns or need further information please contact Kim Echols at kechols@roa.org

HAP ARNOLD BARBERSHOP CLOSED

The Hap Arnold Club concessionaire barber shop is temporarily closed until further notice. For more information call 951-655-4920.

CLINIC TEMPORARILY CLOSES MONDAYS

The 452nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron (clinic) will be closed for external business, except on a case-by-case basis, each Monday beginning March 10. Normal hours of operation, M-F, 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m., resume April 1.

As a reminder, the 452 AMDS is not a treating facility. Therefore, if you have a medical emergency, call the law enforcement desk at 951-655-2981, or call 951-655-2911 from an on-base extension to activate the base emergency response system. If your medical emergency occurred while in military status, report to the clinic at the beginning of your next duty day to ensure appropriate and timely processing of a potential Line of Duty (LOD).

RIVERSIDE GATE OPEN LIMITED HOURS ON UTA WEEKENDS

Security Forces would like to remind everyone that the Riverside Gate, on Riverside Drive, near Bldg. 601 (4th Combat Camera Squadron), is open on the A and B Unit Training Assembly weekends as follows: 5:30-7:30 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m., 3:30-5:30 p.m.

CLUB OFFERS HEALTHY CHOICE SUBSTITUTIONS

The Hap Arnold Club and the Back Street Café are doing their best to create healthy, nutritious food items for Team March. Did you know that you can substitute healthy options for that side of fries at no additional cost? When ordering a sandwich, you can request a small side salad or a piece of fruit instead of fries or onion rings. It may be a small change toward a healthier you, but it’s a change none-the-less. Be the example! Choose healthy!

COMMISSARY CASE LOT SALE ANNOUNCED

The March ARB Commissary will be holding its annual case lot sale on May 29 – 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact the commissary at 951-653-2206. Stop by and enjoy the savings!

SALLY’S ALLEY NOW SERVING FOOD ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Spring is here, which means Sally’s Alley will be serving food every Wednesday night! Stop by and support the Hap Arnold Club while enjoying a different type of food each Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

AIR FORCE FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES ASSESSMENT SURVEY

The Air Force Personnel Center has contracted Customer Service Insights (CFI) Group to conduct a survey at 63 installations worldwide. The survey will randomly select Airmen by sending out an e-mail invite referencing CFI in the subject box. Selected participants are encouraged to complete the survey as it will provide senior Air Force leaders an honest view of the food service being provided.

TRICARE ENDS WALK-IN SERVICE APRIL 1

In keeping up with the rapidly increasing number of TRICARE beneficiaries who most often turn to a laptop or cell phone when they have questions, walk-in service at all U.S. based TRICARE Service Centers (TSC) will no longer be available beginning April 1.

Beneficiaries can call their local TSC for enrollment and benefit help. All health care, pharmacy, dental and claims contact information is located at www.tricare.mil/contactus.

SENIOR AIRMAN EPRs NOT REQUIRED

The Air Force Reserve Command has not established implementation for rules of engagement nor effective dates to begin Enlisted Performance Reports on Senior Airmen. Therefore, reports are not required at this time. Projected changes to the evaluation system are reasons for the postponement. Once an effective date has been established, notification will go out to everyone advising on the program management for EPRs for AFR Senior Airmen.

MARCH ARB COMMISSARY COUPON CONTEST

The March Commissary is giving away prizes to the customer who uses the most coupons in a single shopping transaction from March16 thru April 15. Prizes include a $200 gift card, $150 gift card, a $50 gift basket, a $25 men’s gift basket, a $25 ladies gift basket and a mountain bike. YELLOW RIBBON EVENT IN PHOENIX

The Air Force Reserve Command Yellow Ribbon Program invites you to a Regional Yellow Ribbon Training event to be held in Phoenix, Ariz., April 25-27. This event will include activities, referral information, education, vendor booths and interactive breakout sessions that span the concerns and issues faced by reservists and their loved ones before and after a deployment. Planned activities may include: benefits information, marriage enrichment, deploying as a single Airman, educational and fun youth activities, and professional childcare at no cost during the event. ONE ‘TR’ POSITION OPEN AT A&FRC

The Airman & Family Readiness Center is looking for an outstanding NCO who wants to enhance his or her military career by helping Airmen and their families achieve mission readiness through personal and family readiness.

A&FRC NCO is a Special Duty Identifier (SDI 8C000) and there is no need to cross-train from your current AFSC. There is no formal training school to attend. Traditional Reservists who are interested in interviewing for the position must call the A&FRC to set up an appointment, hold a seven or nine skill level in any AFSC and hold the grade of E-6 or E-7 (Members who are E-5’s must have time-in-grade, time-in-service and be eligible and ready to promote.) If your goal is to become a first sergeant, this SDI provides great exposure to resources and services available to military members and their families. RESERVE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONVENTION

The Reserve Officers Association (ROA) is holding its annual convention April 4-6 at the Holiday Inn Bayside in San Diego. ROA is open to all officers – commissioned, non- commissioned and warrant. This convention is your forum to bring forward issues regarding your chapter, how the department can assist you and most importantly, participate in discussions of how we can accomplish ROA’s mission of ensuring an adequate national security.

Speakers at this year’s convention include: Congressman Duncan Hunter; Brig. Gen. (ret.) Gerald Griffin, who will speak about PTSD; Brig. Gen. (ret.) Michael Silva, ROA National President Bert Upson, author of “On A Clear Day”; and Adjutant General California Military Department, Maj. Gen. David S. Baldwin. A joint officer professional development seminar will also be conducted in conjunction with the convention.
