MOTHERS DAY BRUNCH AT HAP ARNOLD CLUB

A Mother’s Day brunch will be held at the Hap Arnold Club on Sunday, May 11. There will be two seating times, the first at 11 a.m. and another at 1 p.m. The cost for club members is $25, non-members will be $27. For more information call the Hap Arnold Club at 951-655-4920.

SALLY’S ALLEY NOW SERVING FOOD ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Spring is here, which means Sally’s Alley will be serving food every Wednesday night! Stop by and support the Hap Arnold Club while enjoying a different type of food each Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT RAO

The Retired Affairs Office (RAO) is seeking volunteers to assist in providing information and assistance as needed to Retirees and their dependents. BASE FOD WALK APRIL 16

All available personnel are invited to join the Base Foreign Object Walk, April 16. Assemble at the old Air Passenger Terminal Building on the flight line side at 7:15 a.m. Bring a plastic trash bag, like the one in your shop or office trash can as well as hearing protection if available. There will be a pre-brief at 7:30 a.m. Please be on time. The access gate at the Air Traffic Control Tower is closed. Please use alternate gates as much as possible so as to limit foot traffic through Base Operations. Carpooling is recommended as parking is very limited. Be diligent if walking or driving near the tower as construction is on-going and there is heavy equipment operation and semi-truck traffic traversing this reduced access traffic zone.

CASTLE PARK, MARITIME MUSEUM TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE

Ticket and Tours is now selling tickets to Castle Park in Riverside and the Maritime Museum in San Diego. Castle Park tickets are $16 each. Cost includes unlimited rides, unlimited miniature golf and all day access to the water park. The San Diego Maritime Museum tickets are $13 for adults and $9 for children ages 6-17.

CLUB OFFERS HEALTHY CHOICE SUBSTITUTIONS

The Hap Arnold Club and the Back Street Café are doing their best to create healthy, nutritious food items for Team March. Did you know that you can substitute healthy options for that side of fries at no additional cost? When ordering a sandwich, you can request a small side salad or a piece of fruit instead of fries or onion rings. It may be a small change toward a healthier you, but it’s a change none-the-less. Be the example! Choose healthy!

COMMISSARY CASE LOT SALE DATES ANNOUNCED

The March ARB Commissary will be holding its annual case lot sale on May 29–31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact the commissary at 951-653-2206. Stop by and enjoy the savings!

AIR FORCE FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES ASSESSMENT SURVEY

The Air Force Personnel Center has contracted Customer Service Insights (CFI) Group to conduct a survey at 63 installations worldwide. The survey will randomly select Airmen by sending out an e-mail invite referencing CFI in the subject box. Selected participants are encouraged to complete the survey as it will provide senior Air Force leaders an honest view of the food service being provided.

SENIOR AIRMAN EPRs NOT REQUIRED

The Air Force Reserve Command has not established implementation for rules of engagement nor effective dates to begin Enlisted Performance Reports on Senior Airmen. Therefore, reports are not required at this time. Projected changes to the evaluation system are reasons for the postponement. Once an effective date has been established, notification will go out to everyone advising on the program management for EPRs for AFR Senior Airmen.

MARCH ARB COMMISSARY COUPON CONTEST

YELLOW RIBBON EVENT IN PHOENIX

The Air Force Reserve Command Yellow Ribbon Program invites you to a Regional Yellow Ribbon Training event to be held in Phoenix, Ariz., April 25-27. This event will include activities, referral information, education, vendor booths and interactive breakout sessions that span the concerns and issues faced by reservists and their loved ones before and after a deployment. Planned activities may include: benefits information, marriage enrichment, deploying as a single Airman, educational and fun youth activities, and professional childcare at no cost during the event. ONE ‘TR’ POSITION OPEN AT A&FRC

The Airman & Family Readiness Center is looking for an outstanding NCO who wants to enhance his or her military career by helping Airmen and their families achieve mission readiness through personal and family readiness.

A&FRC NCO is a Special Duty Identifier (SDI 8C000) and there is no need to cross-train from your current AFSC. There is no formal training school to attend. Traditional Reservists who are interested in interviewing for the position must call the A&FRC to set up an appointment, hold a seven or nine skill level in any AFSC and hold the grade of E-6 or E-7 (Members who are E-5’s must have time-in-grade, time-in-service and be eligible and ready to promote.) If your goal is to become a first sergeant, this SDI provides great exposure to resources and services available to military members and their families.
