Sea Cadets visit

In addition to exploring the plane, the cadets were taken for a tour of the fire department, treated to a security forces weapons display and learned a little about the history of March Field. The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a non-profit youth program for Americans ages 11 through 17, which provides compelling, life-changing programs that instill the values of teamwork, discipline, camaraderie and service through an all-volunteer force and a partnership with our nation’s armed forces.
Summer Movie Series
March Outdoor Recreation department employees set up a giant movie screen outside of the base Education office, Bldg. 441, June 7, in preparation to show the first movie of the Summer Movie Series. There will be a new movie shown every Unit Training Assembly on Saturday beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m. It is free to anyone who has access to get on base. Bring chairs or blankets and dress for outdoors.

CONCERT FOR HEROES
The Concert for Heroes symphonic concert will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery amphitheater July 3. The concert begins at 7:30 pm with pre-concert entertainment starting an hour prior. The event is free of charge, appropriate business casual attire is required.
COSTA MESA YELLOW RIBBON EVENT
The Air Force Reserve Command Yellow Ribbon Program invites you to a Regional Yellow Ribbon Training event to be held in Costa Mesa, California, July 18-20. This event will include activities, referral information, education, vendor booths and interactive breakout sessions that span the concerns and issues faced by reservists and their loved ones before and after a deployment, including: Tricare, Airmen & Family Readiness, ESGR, legal assistance for wills & powers of attorney, Military Family Life Consultants, Personal Financial Consultants, and more. WATERPARK TICKETS AVAILABLE AT ITT
March Field ITT now has tickets available for two popular Southern California water parks, Raging Waters in San Dimas and Splash Kingdom in Redlands. Raging Waters tickets are $29 for all, Splash Kingdom tickets are $21 for adults and $14 for children ages 3 – 10.
Reserve Officers Association (ROA) Chapter 11 will hold a meeting on June 28 at the March Field Air Museum. Food and drink will be provided. All non-commissioned, warrant and commissioned offers are invited to attend. The ROA will hold its National Convention in Long Beach, California July 23 – 26. The Department of the Golden West will hold its Fall Council Meeting at Nellis AFB, Nevada from September 26 – 27.
