ID CARD SERVICES

The combined (Reserve/Guard) ID Office, located in bldg. 2314 (third building from the main gate) provides ID card services by appointment Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Customers can make appointments through the DEERS appointment website at https://rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil or by calling 951-655-3028. Walk-in hours are from 8 – 11a.m. and 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. These hours of operation are only for the ID Office and not the rest of the Military Personnel Flight.

MILITARY BALL AUDITIONS

Auditions will be held for National Anthem singers and the Master/Mistress of Ceremonies for the 2014 Military Ball on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 9 – 11 a.m. in Sally’s Alley behind the Hap Arnold Club. Come one, come all and show us what you’ve got!

COSTA MESA YELLOW RIBBON EVENT

The Air Force Reserve Command Yellow Ribbon Program invites you to a Regional Yellow Ribbon Training event to be held in Costa Mesa, California, Aug. 22-24. This event will include activities, referral information, education, vendor booths and interactive breakout sessions that span the concerns and issues faced by reservists and their loved ones before and after a deployment, including: Tricare, Airmen & Family Readiness, ESGR, legal assistance for wills & powers of attorney, Military Family Life Consultants, Personal Financial Consultants, and more. RIVERSIDE GATE OPEN LIMITED HOURS ON UTA WEEKENDS

Security Forces would like to remind everyone that the Riverside Gate, on Riverside Drive, near Bldg. 601 (4th Combat Camera Squadron), is open on the A and B Unit Training Assembly weekends as follows: 5:30-7:30 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m., 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Waterpark tickets available at ITT

March Field ITT now has tickets available for two popular Southern California water parks, Raging Waters in San Dimas and Splash Kingdom in Redlands. Raging Waters tickets are $29 for all, Splash Kingdom tickets are $21 for adults and $14 for children ages 3 – 10.

FREE ROUND-TRIP TICKETS FOR TRANSITIONING VETS

Hire Our Heroes (HOH) will provide a free, round-trip ticket to any transitioning veteran going on a job interview anywhere in the country. HOH will provide a free round trip airline ticket to any transitioning veteran interviewing to secure a job without the means to travel to and from the interview. This allows transitioning veterans the opportunity to interview and secure opportunities prior to making the final transition back into the civilian world. CASTLE PARK, MARITIME MUSEUM TICKETS AVAILABLE at ITT

Ticket and Tours is now selling tickets to Castle Park in Riverside and the Maritime Museum in San Diego. Castle Park tickets are $16 each. Cost includes unlimited rides, unlimited miniature golf and all day access to the water park. The San Diego Maritime Museum tickets are $13 for adults and $9 for children ages 6-17. The Hap Arnold Club and the Back Street Café are doing their best to create healthy, nutritious food items for Team March. Did you know that you can substitute healthy options for that side of fries at no additional cost? When ordering a sandwich, you can request a small side salad or a piece of fruit instead of fries or onion rings. It may be a small change toward a healthier you, but it’s a change none-the-less. Be the example! Choose healthy!
