ID CARD SERVICES

The combined (Reserve/Guard) ID Office, located in bldg. 2314 (third building from the main gate) provides ID card services by appointment Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Customers can make appointments through the DEERS appointment website at https://rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil or by calling 951-655-3028. Walk-in hours are from 8 – 11a.m. and 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. These hours of operation are only for the ID Office and not the rest of the Military Personnel Flight.

MILITARY BALL AUDITIONS

Auditions will be held for National Anthem singers and the Master/Mistress of Ceremonies for the 2014 Military Ball on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 9 – 11 a.m. in Sally’s Alley behind the Hap Arnold Club. Come one, come all and show us what you’ve got!

COSTA MESA YELLOW RIBBON EVENT

The Air Force Reserve Command Yellow Ribbon Program invites you to a Regional Yellow Ribbon Training event to be held in Costa Mesa, California, Aug. 22-24. This event will include activities, referral information, education, vendor booths and interactive breakout sessions that span the concerns and issues faced by reservists and their loved ones before and after a deployment, including: Tricare, Airmen & Family Readiness, ESGR, legal assistance for wills & powers of attorney, Military Family Life Consultants, Personal Financial Consultants, and more. WATERPARK TICKETS AVAILABLE AT ITT

March Field ITT now has tickets available for two popular Southern California water parks, Raging Waters in San Dimas and Splash Kingdom in Redlands. Raging Waters tickets are $29 for all, Splash Kingdom tickets are $21 for adults and $14 for children ages 3 – 10.

FREE FASHION SHOW AT the MARCH EXCHANGE

The March Air Reserve Base Exchange is hosting a free fashion show, Aug. 9 at 11 a.m for all authorized patrons. The event will feature volunteers, ages 6 to 18, with two outfits to choose from and hair and makeup provided by the Exchange beauty salon. Entertainment and activities include a free inflatable jumper house for children, face painting, wine tasting and complimentary car seat safety training from the California Highway Patrol. Additionally, all exchange vendors are scheduled to participate and provide sales, coupons and specials, including a free eye glasses raffle. AIR FORCE AID SOCIETY NEW EMERGENCY TRAVEL POLICY

Beginning August 1, Air Force members with emergency leave authorization requiring Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) assistance for travel due to personal or family emergency will be provided assistance as a grant. Active duty Airmen, Reserve and Guard members serving under Title 10, U.S.C. for more than 15 days, who have a financial need, are eligible to receive this grant for their personal travel expenses. AF Form 988 “Leave Request/Authorization” or verification of emergency leave authorization by first sergeant or commander is required for the grant to be given. 452 AMW and 163 ANG personnel please contact the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 951-655-5350 for assistance.

FREE ROUND-TRIP TICKETS FOR TRANSITIONING VETS

Hire Our Heroes (HOH) will provide a free, round-trip ticket to any transitioning veteran going on a job interview anywhere in the country. HOH will provide a free round trip airline ticket to any transitioning veteran interviewing to secure a job without the means to travel to and from the interview. This allows transitioning veterans the opportunity to interview and secure opportunities prior to making the final transition back into the civilian world. CHARGERS TICKETS AND MORE AT MARCH ITT

ITT is selling 2014 San Diego Chargers tickets for all home games. Pre-Season games are $30 each with no transportation provided. Regular season games are $125 each with the exception of the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders games which go for $135.00 each. Price includes ticket and transportation. Other event tickets available at ITT include Regal Cinema movie tickets, all showings, no expiration for $10; Castle Park Amusement Park tickets, includes unlimited regular and water park rides and miniature golf for $16 each; Fontana Speed Way tickets for Aug. 30 Indy Car event, upper grandstand seats and pit passes available. The Hap Arnold Club and the Back Street Café are doing their best to create healthy, nutritious food items for Team March. Did you know that you can substitute healthy options for that side of fries at no additional cost? When ordering a sandwich, you can request a small side salad or a piece of fruit instead of fries or onion rings. It may be a small change toward a healthier you, but it’s a change none-the-less.
