Riverside hosts inaugural 9/11 tribute concert

Nearly 3,000 people died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 - attacks which culminated that day in the crash of a passenger jet in Shanksville, Pa. An architect responsible for erecting a memorial on the impact site once described his intentions for a design that was both “solemn and uplifting.”
