Do you know a ventriloquist? A violinist? A pianist? Someone who writes poetry? How about an illusionist? Well, now you do.
Lance Cpl. Gerod Wallace, a Marine Attack Squadron 513 ordnance technician, and a native of Bay Minette, Ala., does all the above.
Wallace traces his enjoyment of hands-on artistry to his youth.
“My parents were children youth ministers, so it’s no wonder I got into those things,†he said. He also acted as his church’s youth pastor for a time.
His hands have found themselves controlling things such as musical instruments to marrionettes.
Possessing more than two decades worth of experience in various art forms, including music and artistry, Wallace uses his talents for a variety of reasons, from relieving the stress of the day to simply having fun. His creative mindset has also lent him an altruistic attitude toward those around him.
“I’d like to be able to do stuff that helps other people get their dreams accomplished.â€
