Six City of Yuma employees were recognized for their superior support of Marine Corps Air Station Yuma’s Exercise Desert Fire on June 6, 2012 at the Yuma City Hall. MCAS Yuma partners with city, county and federal government and non-government agencies to conduct multiagency emergency response exercises throughout the year to improve interoperability and test the capabilities of first responders. All award recipients perform duties as Public Information Officers for the city and acted as either mock media or covered the exercise for training purposes.
