Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Marine Corps Community Services hosted a Fire Hose 5k Fun Run on station for Marines, sailors and civilians, June 16. The station welcomed yumans to participate in the run along side military members. People of all ages competed for male and female first, second and third place. 1st Lt. Charles Stewart, Marine Aircraft Group 13 adjutant placed first with a time of 18:17 min.
City of Yuma firefighters participated in the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Fire Hose 5k Fun Run on June 16. Capt. Brandon Case, City of Yuma firefighter, carried his four-year-old daughter, Samantha, in the final stretch to the finish line. “The air station runs are great because about 40 percent of the fire department is prior military,†said Case. “It brings back the old times of being in the Corps.â€
