Vargas joined four other Marines Friday morning in restoring the natural beauty of the Colorado River as a volunteer opportunity through the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma’s Single Marine Program. Every other Friday, Marines spend a morning cleaning the river banks before embarking on a miniature float-down followed by a barbeque.
