Warrior Ride 2012

A mechanical reverberation, softer than the screaming of the AV-8B Harrier but just as direct, filled the morning at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Sept. 7. It was the sound of bikers getting ready to ride out to Lake Havasu, Ariz., for the third annual Warrior Ride, Sept. 7-9. Hosted by Marine Corps Community Services, Warrior Ride 2012 is meant to provide an outlet for Marines looking for thrills on the road or who just want to vacate the air station for a bit. “We understand that being in the Marine Corps has its high stress levels,” said Dave Koopman, the director of MCAS Yuma MCCS. “That is why the Warrior Ride is here for Marines and family to relax and have some fun.”
