United States Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 26, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), rush injured Marines on litters to an MV-22B Osprey during a mass casualty training exercise at Fort Pickett, Va., Sept. 14, 2012. A mass casualty is defined as any number of casualties produced in a relatively short period of time that overwhelms the emergency medical services and logistical support.

9th Communication Battalion’s Scrap Metal celebrate under water during a combat water polo tournament at Camp Pendleton’s 13 Area Pool, Sept. 12. Marine Corps Community Services’ Pendleton Cup Series provided Marines and sailors with an opportunity to build unit cohesion and camaraderie while competing for monetary prizes that will be awarded to their respective units.
