It’s back in town again. The Spirit Halloween store has once again assembled at 1130 S. Castle Dome Ave. in the Las Palmillas shopping center.
Outside appearance of the building effectively matches its “temporary” status in the area but once inside you are greeted with elaborate and mildly obnoxious displays of ghosts and ghouls all up for sale to put in your very own front yard.
One display in particular stood out amongst the others, not for its “terrifying” appearance but for the relentless singing of “la la la la laaaa laaa” in a deranged little girl’s voice. It played over and over and over throughout my visit and stayed stuck in my head long after I left.
As far as costume selection goes, for Yuma, it is your one stop shop for Halloween necessities. The kids department is the fullest and most varied, second being the women’s and sorry guys the men’s section was severely lacking.
Customer service representatives were extremely helpful and attentive and more than willing to accommodate exchanges or returns, assuming returned costumes met the criteria.
Other stores like Target and Walmart do offer some Halloween garb, but they are much smaller selections of costumes and may not carry all of your desired accessories.
So for your tricks, treats and complete Halloween look the Spirit Halloween store can help you get there.
